Project Support: Rubi

Dear friends,
We want to introduce you to Rubi, a courageous mother who came to the U.S. seeking a better life for herself and her two young children. When she arrived, she shared a cramped RV with seven other women while learning the home-cleaning business. She worked tirelessly, often putting in long hours six days a week for only $4-$6 an hour. Her journey wasn’t easy. But then, she met a kind woman who took her under her wing, trained her in the trade, and helped her find better living conditions.
Through her perseverance, Rubi managed to save enough to reunite with her children. Soon, she found an opportunity to purchase a small, run-down trailer home in Hudson Bend. She poured every dollar she had into buying and repairing it, creating a safe haven for her family. However, the home is aging faster than she and her partner can afford to maintain. With winter coming, the patched-up windows of plexiglass and plywood offer little protection from the cold.
Rubi now faces a new challenge. She’s expecting another child this spring and, without medical insurance, her resources are strained even further. The urgent repairs her home needs are beyond her reach, but her strength and resolve remain unshaken.
In October 2023, Rubi met Argentina at a Bible study in Hudson Bend. Argentina was moved by Rubi’s dedication to building a future here. Noticing that her main barrier was not speaking English, Argentina began an English class in May 2024, where Rubi has been the most devoted student. With every lesson, her progress grows, bringing her closer to her dream of expanding her cleaning business and thriving in this new land.
Your support could make all the difference, helping provide the repairs and stability that Rubi and her family urgently need. With a simple gesture, you can show Rubi that she’s not alone, that the love of Christ is with her every step of the way.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to help transform a family's life. With heartfelt gratitude, we ask for your generous support to give Rubi and her children warmth and hope for the coming season.
Thank you, and may you be blessed abundantly. ♥️
